Forgive me if this is a repost.
But,
I'm sure many of us have read 'First Light' - well, the BBC have made a documentary about it, to be aired on BBC2 at 9pm on Tuesday 14th September.
Should be well worth a look.

Thanks TSC. I'll make sure to watch that. I'm actually re-reading First Light at the moment. Probably the best book on the subject I've ever read.
Geoffrey Wellum is one of the few BoB pilots still alive. I just hope this drama documentary does him justice.

Should be a good one Doug, there is a bit in
Les Telegraph Online
which says:
Quote:
Even Wellum is impressed with the results, hailing the adaptation as the most authentic portrayal of a fighter squadron in the Battle of Britain ever.
Can't wait, I've got a bottle of Spitfire waiting & ready to scramble (into my pint glass).

I've already told the wife that I've got the telly on Tuesday night and will brook no interruptions
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

We lost all TV transmission in our area at 7pm, still no signal. I've missed it! Gutted isn't the word

Sorry to say you didn't miss anything. I was terribly disappointed.

I'm going to download it from iPlayer. Our aerial has been damaged hence no signal
Looks like it lost a fight with a demented condor or a low flying Cessna...
So no telly, which is actually rather nice
