So I have a good feeling my F: drive which is a 150Gb Raptor is  dead. It has been around and working hard for around 3 years now.

The problem is I have programs installed on the F: drive and not the C:. How can I uninstall them from C:? The uninstaller for the programs is such as Empire/Napoleon Total War, Steam, Paint.NET is located on the corrupt drive.

I assume it will only be a matter of clearing and cleaning registry entries and any other files on C:. How will I accomplish that task without destroying my current fine computer.

Thanks

You can often uninstall things by running the installer for them... if you can't find that then download and run the installer. Usually there will be an uninstall option. If that doesn't work, try downloading and using CCleaner which can delete things from registry.

ONly way that I know of running checkdisk, is by going into windows, right clicking on the drive, clicking properties, then tools, then error checking.........
