There are some sceneries available that include very nice-looking (much better-looking than the defauts) carriers all around the globe.
Check the Simviation library... In the FS9 Scenery or the FS9 misc perhaps...

There are several packages by Paul Clawson - which allow you to place carriers anywhere you wish.

Search using his name - if they are not in the library here, they are in the libraries at other sites.

HMNZS Waikato (Her Majesty's New Zealand Ship Waikato).  Search for it.  It's placed off Auckland New Zealand, it works in FS2002, I think it will work in 2004. This is the best one that I know of; there are others also, search the SimV libraries for them.

I am uploading a file now to MEGAUPLOAD called CARR2006.1   it has 18 static carriers around the world that you can land on.   (no ai / no ATC)  http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U9UWNTBK

You will however need ARRCAB2.6 to be able to land / take off from ALL of those carriers.  http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/perlfect/search/search.pl?p=1&lang=en&include=...

ARRCAB (Arrestor Cables) program runs seperatly from FS9.

also, SEARCH the downloads area for all files with the name "STEVE HINSON" and there should be a few carriers that come up also.

I have Flight Deck 3, 4, 5, and 6.. and I find that all of the craft that come with these packages pure and total CRAP! but that is just my opinion.   The Carriers are pretty good, but the craft are terribly made.

I didn't criticise the quality of the included aircraft as he might be satisfied with them (I didn't think they were ALL that bad) but I do use Rick Piper's beautiful Hunting Jet Provost a great deal.... Cool Wink
