JP-4 worked well in my era for BBQ'ing most everything and everyone. MOGAS works well in a perimeter type setting.....

You don't know flame until you've tried Paint Thinner which is around 100% alcohol.
Fires that large and high but blue and lasts a couple of seconds.

I was just using good old fashion Kingsford lighter fluid (reinforced with a certain amount of JP-8). How much you ask? I'll let you all know
