This ONLY happens when I try to use a Carenado plane on
multiplayer....

When I go to type in the chat box,
there is a considerable delay between the key press,
and the letters showing up in the chat box.  Sad

This wouldn't be an issue,
if I wasn't such a fast typist,
but I can type a sentence as long as this one,
before the first letters start to appear in the window.  Roll Eyes

Changing planes will not cure the problem,
I must restart FS9 completely,
and choose a different plane to cure it.
Also, if I start off in a different plane,
and then switch to a Carenado plane,
then the problem will appear,
and must be fixed in the same way.  Angry

As long as I don't use a Carenado plane,
the problem doesn't ever arise.  Huh

Obviously, the solution is to never use a Carenado product online,
but I think that's the easy cop out solution.  Tongue

What gives?  Huh
Has anyone else here ever had this problem?  Undecided

No other payware plane I have from any other company has this issue,
and it happens with ALL of the Caranedo planes that I have.

Please tell me I'm not alone in this issue.  Embarrassed

Well phooey!  Angry

I refuse to believe that just one make of plane has a problem that is centered around my system only.  Cry

Hopefully when I install the new graphics card today, that will solve it.  Undecided

I don't see how though, my Wilco 777 is way harder on my system than the Carenados are, and it doesn't do it.  Huh

Carenado has no clue either, they said it's the first they've ever heard of it, and said it was probably an issue with FSHost.  Embarrassed

Shane,

Try turning off the "send animations so that other players can see them" option in the sim itself and see if that stops the issue.

best,

Outstanding John!!  Smiley

That did the trick.  Smiley

Not sure how or why, but as long as it works, I'm OK with it.  Grin  Wink

Thank you very much.  Smiley

I had to guess that the "fancy plane" was sending some data onto the buss that was tieing it all up.  My guessis that it is trying to send something that is not "standard" ....and it is not getting a handshake for the data from FSHost.  It then keeps trying forever....... hogging bandwidth.

It was just a guess........ from a little programiing background and a bunch of online FS time.  I got lucky.

You can tell them the solution.... and maybe they can then figure out the real cause.  At the moment,.... it is a workaround, not a fix.

best,

............john

New developments.

I've traced the problem to a file called alg.exe, and using the Real world weather while online.

If both of these are disabled, the problem will go away.

If they are on, the problem will come and go, with any plane now.

I've run scans with every AV & SW program I have, and it did find a few things, but even after that, this problem occurs if those two elements are active at the same time.

Oh the joys of M$.  Roll Eyes

Sorry Carenado!  Embarrassed

I've been through most of those.
In fact, it sent me on a quest to identify,
and analyze EVERY process running in my task manager.

If you use one of these downloads they're recommending,
let me know and I'll try it.
There are just far too many 'recommended' links on that page,
for me to randomly pick one and try it.  Wink

Honestly, as far as past experience has taught me,
using these 'free scanners' always causes more problems than they solve,
so I go by a human recommendation,
rather than the snake oil ads. Grin

I have Auto updates turned on,
so I can't understand how my XP files would be outdated in anyway.
It just had an XP update last week.  Undecided

Well, now the problem has developed to include ANY kind of clouds at all.  Angry

I have officially become fed up with my FS.  Cry

Time to do a complete reinstall....again.  Roll Eyes

One of these days, I'll just learn to be happy with things the way they are, and stop messing with it.

It only ever seems to make things worse.  Tongue

Weird, Paul........ I don't get that at all.  Site comes up clean even though I have a feature that checks the sites before you load them turned on.   Maybe an ad that was on the site when you checked it...... but was not on there when I did?

best,

............john

Goodness knows, John!... Shocked..!

These little warnings pop up on rare occasions, and seem to be handled automatically by my Anti-Virus and Malware programs, so sometimes its difficult to know where these little devils came from, although they do appear instantly when clicking on some Sites, Programs, etc....!

A Scan shows all OK!

Paul..... Wink....!
