Hey Thud, here are a couple of remarks:
1 - First of all, and this is mainly concerning the second shot, you have to find a better angle of view. In the second shot, most of the picture is just the empty ground, which is not something you want to show in a screenshot.
I'd recommend you to try to use the FSX additionnal views (those that you can circle with the A key, usually Tail, Right Wing, Left Wing etc...), because those views allow you to pan around so that the aircraft is no longer in the center of the picture. In this 747 shot for example, you could have taken the shot while looking a little bit more up, so that the plane would get in the bottom (let's say, lower 1/3 of the total picture) of the shot. This would show less of the ground, and more of the plane, scenery and sky.
2 - Concerning the sky, I see that you are using the HDE textures, which are really the best choice. However, in your screenshots, you set a layer of cirrus way too high in the sky. As a consequence, the details of those cirrus clouds are hardly visible, and the sky looks a little bit empty. I'd recommend you to lower the general altitude of the cirrus layer in the advanced weather settings. This would give you a much better looking sky, and combined with the explanations in point 1, a much better screenshot
Got bloom ?
Got mountains ?
Got damage ?
