What a plane - don't suppose it's available for FSX too  Smiley?

Nope. I tried it. Not even close to working. Bummer. Wish somebody that knew what they were doing would upgrade it to FSX. It's a Bill Lyons  design. I found it here.  File name
cc6stinf.zip
http://www.flightsim.com/file.php  It is also available here at SimV  http://www.simviation.com/members/fs2004vintage39.htm

FS2004 1934 Pietenpol Air Camper and 1937 Stinson SR-9C. The Stinson Reliant (Stinson SR-10 Reliant "Gullwing") was a four-to-five seat commercial monoplane which was the brainchild of E.A. "Eddie" Stinson, and was designed for private operators and small charter companies. It was the the last model produced by his company before it was bought out in the late 1930s. It was regarded as a strikingly handsome airplane - with its distinctive gull wing - and was known for its ease in handling and its ability to carry four to five people in comfort. An excellent aircraft, the Reliant could recover from a stall and return to level flight "hands off". These features along with state of the art navigation and communication radios, made it popular with executive charter services as well as with the more sophisticated, wealthy buyer. The Pietenpol Air Camper is a two place, tandem seat, open cockpit plans-built monoplane which will take us back to those early days of aviation and the homebuilt movement! By Lynn and Bill Lyons.

How bad is it?

Does it even show up?

I've done a couple of port overs, as long as they show up, it's usually not too bad a process.  Wink

Edited:
I just tried it out, and it looks like just a prop and gauge fix, the plane, and all the textures showed up with no problems. Fixing gauges and props are easy,
it's when the plane itself doesn't show up that's the real problem.  Wink

I'll see what I can do with her.  Smiley

I just tried it too. The prop can be fixed easily enough although it will have the usual problem with clouds. The main problem is the panel. It uses a number of FS9 default gauges which is fine if you have FS9. Replacing others will need a little work but shouldn't be too difficult.

Yeah those older FS98 gauges are the bane of a porter's life with these older planes.  Grin Wink

There are a few gauges it used that I'm not sure have a default FSX equivalent, but I know I can fill most of the black holes with something close, or appropriate.  Smiley

Way to go guys. Looking forward to the FSX upgrade. Would you PM me the link when it's ready to download. Thanks.

I've got the prop fixed, and the 2d panel working fine.

Haven't quite figured out why the VC gauges won't show yet.

Doug, have you taken a crack at this at all?

I can get the VC gauges to display at night but not in daylight. I've lost touch with all this now. I was hoping you would know how to fix it.

Could you PM your version of the Panel.cfg so that I can compare notes.
I used mostly DC-3 gauges, but also had to throw a few Cub ones in.

I can but there's really not much point. All I've done so far is to correct the path to the FS9 default gauges.

The VC gauge issue is an alpha problem, looking for the right texture now, although, being a VC, it could be part of the model, kind of like our favorite F-18 canopy.   Wink

None of the FS9 gauges will load, it keeps referring to them all by older names, and the only way I can avoid the popup warnings is by using the FSX DC-3 gauges I swapped in.
The custom XML gauges in the Custom.cab work fine.

I wish you luck.

That's odd. I copied the appropriate FS9 default gauges into the Panel folder of the Reliant & edited the path in Panel.cfg accordingly. All works fine for me except in daytime.
