Went to the field for a couple of weeks in Nevada to support Operation Javelin Thrust, a training exercise that involved a lot of helo rides and a lot of grunt work.  More pictures to come, it's 3am here and I am beat, but here's a teaser.  Happy to be back, hope you didn't miss me too much  Cheesy

It really looks like you could have used some of this non-stop rain we've been getting here.  Grin

Another successful mission in the middle of nowhere, defending our brush from evil jackrabbits!
Those giant helo blades' rotor wash is an excellent,
effective weapon against such determined insurgents.

Grin  Wink

I trust you had more than six last night,
and welcome back buddy!  Grin   Cool

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks guys! Safest 30 acre chunk of desert in the whole state of Nevada now!  Mission accomplished haha!!

As for much needed rain, the entire two weeks we were there it was in the 90's and sunny everyday, until we packed up all of our tents, shipped them off in another truck, and sat there for 4 hours waiting for our helo's to arrive to take us off the mountain.  Naturally a thunderstorm would hit and soak us all.  It was refreshing, but it pissed us off.

Rotty, we didn't get to blow it up, actually we didn't get to blow anything up this time (except for SgtMaj, seems like he blew up everyday)

The chopper pilots destroyed a lot of stuff out there though, to include a lot of our tents and communications towers and dishes.   Angry

It was fun though.

EDIT - Lost track at 6 Shane, and somehow a large quantity of scotch disappeared as well... Cheesy
