Looks like you are having a great time. I have enough problems landing as it is, without trying to do it on a moving deck.  Wink

I just wish it was his carrier, but the Big E is close enough.  Wink

a quick (ish) fix for those of you that have the hellcat, and nose over either whilst appying too much brake or when catching a wire on carrier landings, the final part is that the later F6F's were modified for cat launches.

change the following in your aircraft.cfg

[TailHook]
tailhook_length                       = 2.000000
tailhook_position                     = -15.000, 0.000, -1.000
cable_force_adjust                    = 1.000000

[brakes]
toe_brakes_scale = 0.640888698995941
parking_brake = 1
differential_braking_scale = 1

for the capapult capability so add this also

[launch_assistance]
launch_bar_pivot = 5.5, 0.0, -4.0
launch_bar_lug = 10.6, 0.0, -8.2

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I'd say it was more like a bounce & survive.   Grin

Good one! Grin Grin
How is that Hellcat by the way ? I saw that the model and the virtual cockpit are beautifull, but how is it to fly ? Challenging ? Rewarding ? etc...

It's by far the most realistic plane in my FSX.  Smiley

It comes with a copy of the actual WWII-era pilots hand book, and you pretty much have to do it by the book to fly it correctly to avoid frying the engine.  Shocked  Cool

Every system that you can think of on the real one, is modeled on this as far as I've seen.

Bombs drop, tanks drop, guns fire, and the wings fold exactly in the manner and procedure required by the real thing.
