I just bought the Payware VRS FA-18, and I must say it looks awesome, though I have a problem.

My elevators will barely move when going 260KIAS or faster. Is this supposed to happen, or can I change it?

Thanks in advance.

Well I'm not familiar with that particular product......I am pretty sure that the 'fly-by-wire' systems on the f-18 would not allow too much deflection on the elevator at higher speeds, so they are probably modeling that correctly....or close to it.

It's an F-18E..

260 Kias is nothing

Make sure the maybe the ALT HOLD Function on your Autopilot is off. I experienced the same issue in the F-14. Without even hitting the auto pilot

Isn't it just below the HUD brightness knob ?

I guess I mis-understood the question.......does your elevator have no authority above 260kts, or does the animation of the elevator move very little? It would take very little visible movement to pitch up or down at that speed.....
As for the auto-pilot, it sounds odd that it would only take effect over 260kts.....?

It also isnt the ALT HOLD knob.

And yes, the elevators move normally at very low speeds, but when approaching 250KIAS their movement becomes less and less. At 300 KIAS, they barely move at all. Still enough to move the plane up and down, but veeeeeery slowly.

The aircraft also seems to move its control surfaces without me giving it the order to. It does so when about to stall and stuff like that.

Is it supposed to do that?
