That is very funny and very creative.
However, I suspect that whatever amount is due will show up in next month's bill as a late payment addon along with a late fee charge.

I believe that is legal tender, as long as the equation calculates the excact amount owed.. And as long as the account has a balance higher than the amount of the cheCK
or cheQue..
I do think Randall is broke.
It's not a valid equation. Is it?

I wonder if that's the same Randall Munroe that does
xkcd
...
Given the math, I'd say there's a good probability
Cheers

Although I don't write checks(cheques), I would have to agree with your assessment.
I was looking at it from a different perspective. One, corporations don't have a sense of humor when it comes to money. Two, I seriously doubt anyone who works at Verizon Communications has enough brain cells in their head to even try to figure out the equation, even if it is a legitimate one.

I might be mistaken, but isn't that also related to
this video
?
Or are they completely different things?

Typical. The left hand does not know the right hand even exists. In the long run, it would cost more unless he also got attorney fees, but he could win this in a court battle. Makes me want to change cell phone providers, but I'm afraid what ever I changed to would be as bad, or worse. Yes, I have Verizon. But I did not start with them. I started with Cellular One, who was bought out by Verizon.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

After much suffering, I came to the inevitable conclusion that there is no such thing as a good telecomm provider... It only gets worse... paradoxical as it may seem, no matter where you're coming from, your next provider will be even worse
until you come all the way around back to your original provider, at which point it's horribleness will be the square of what it was before
Cheers
