Hello. I'll assume you've successfully installed the Airbus A340-300 base model & it works in FSX.
Quote:I copied the Texture.Swiss folder it into the fsx/SimObjects/aiplains/Tom_A340-300 folder
You've done step one correctly. Now you have to add the new variation to Aircraft.cfg for FSX to recognise it.
Look for a file in with the new texture named Aircraft.txt.txt. Open it in Notepad & you will see this new entry.
[fltsim.xx]
title=San Franciso Swiss
sim=TomA343
model=
panel=340
sound=
texture=Swiss
kb_checklists=
kb_reference=
atc_id=HB-JMC
atc_airline=Swiss
atc_flight_number=LX14
atc_heavy=1
ui_manufacturer=Airbus
ui_type="A340-313X"
ui_variation=Swiss
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Thomas Ruth"
description=
Select the full text above & copy it.
Open the Aircraft.cfg file of your A340-300 in Notepad & paste the text below the existing variations.
Change the xx in the [fltsim.xx] header to the next number in sequence. If this is your first new variation it will be [fltsim.1]
The edited CFG should look like this;
[fltsim.0]
title=GulfAir A330-300
sim=TomA343
model=
panel=340

texture=GA
kb_checklists=

blah blah blah etcFinally exit Notepad saving changes when prompted. With a bit of luck & a following wind it will work as advertised.
