I've just upgraded my graphics card to an Nvidia 9800GT, which came with driver version 6.14.11.9045, driver date 8/6/2009. Is the best driver for FSX and this card still 182.50? Would appreciate any help with this.

I've been using 6.14.11.9562 since I installed my 8800gts - no problems.

How do we tell which driver we are using? I have two 8800GTS (see sig line) cards. I read in these pages that some new driver that came out a few months ago was creating problems and that it was best to keep the old one. I have no idea which one I'm using. May have to check Speccy to find out...

You would right click on your screen, select properties/settings tab/advanced button/adapter tab/properties button/driver tab. (Windows XP)
Nick N once said 182.50 was the better driver, but that was quite a while ago. Haven't heard much since.

I seem to be constantly un-installing and re-installing various drivers for my nVidia Winfast AGP 7800GS 256 Card.
Every now and again, annoying little anomalies pop up on my screen so I try a different driver.
Then I get a different problem, and I generally revert back to the original drivers that came on the CD supplied with my card!
"Newer" drivers give me more problems than "older" drivers...
...!
It sometimes seems that the suitable drivers for "identical" graphics Cards seem to vary according to which supplier assembled the Card?
Its a jungle out there, with Graphics Card Drivers!

I know what you mean, Paul. Maybe I'll just stick with the driver that came with the card.

I've used 182.50 since Nick recommended it about a year ago or so... it really does takes away stutters on my GTX 260.
He now says that 197.13 and 197.45 work well, but I can't vouch for that because they bring back stutters in areas with many trees. Give it a try though, every system is different, as he always said
