I was wondering what the advantages are for using HDMI? I just installed my new computer with an expensive HDMI cable, my monitor and video card noth support it at high resolutions. So far I can tell no difference than the previous DVI cable. I haven't tried any games yet, but.........
Did I just waste my money? Ar there any advantages to HDMI?

If your Monitor had speakers, then the HDMI would carry sound as well as digital HD signal. The DVI does the same with out the sound, both are digital HD cables, just the HDMI carries both sound and video, and smaller.
