They say, and I agree, that the reason why he didn't flip it or completely wipe out, was because he kept the propeller out of the water. If that had gone into the water, I don't even want to imagine what would happen to this great sport. From where I was standing, it looked like he was very close to the American shoreline. In reality, he probably wasn't, but just imagine what it would have looked like to see that airplane skim the water right in front of you. I think this is a situation that could have been devastating to say the least.
