Very nice! I only recently acquired my dad's Canon EOS 650/750 from the late '80s, the jump to an SLR is quite amazing.

Wonderful choice! You were still on the 400D, right? You won't believe the difference this model will make! Enjoy it to the fullest!

Ok I just have my Fuji S7000, and I know Cannon makes killer stuff, so is that one of those SLR cameras that steals the souls out of what ever it takes pictures of and makes a killer image better then what it was in real life.

Sheesh!
One expensive camera!
You must get us some shots with your new toy.
I think we're all jealous.

It's a really nice camera! I'm still annoyed by the fact it came out so little after I bought my 50D. Ok, prices have dropped seriously afterwards. The body alone now costs € 1.300.
The price is not exactly cheap, but wait till you get the craving for a full frame camera... lol

For what I use it for, a cropped sensor is perfect. It's widely agreed that for aviation the 7D is better than the 5DMkII.
Had a day out at Northolt yesterday and am already in love with it
