Took advantage of a nice to day to have off work and took along the my new camera....gotta find out what it can do for me.........

Elk Falls, just upstream from the actual waterfall.........

...

..............had to reduce the file size from 146.7kb down to 140.6 before the server would accept the image.....I thought there was a 150kb cap here ?

Nice photo. What's all this about a new camera?

It might depend on how you measured it. I make it 143.78 kb now.

Doug, I did make one further change to the file,  Photoshop now reports when I save it, as 139.6kb....still well below the 150kb filesize for the server........

New camera is a 12 MPix, E-620....shot this one today with an ND8 and CP filter in front of the standard short zoom at 14mm (35 mm film equivalent is 28mm) wide angle  - ISO 100 - F22 for 1.5 sec Aperture Priority

They say it's 150kb but it's actually "Maximum filesize is 152400 bytes".

If I do the math right (152400/1024) the limit works out to 148.83ish.

Your 146.7 should have fit 146.7*1024=150220.8

Great shot anyway!

cheers,
Joe

Edited:

Did you upload it from your computer or a storage site? They sometimes tack on a bit of weight.
When I right-click on the image to check it's size I get 143.78 KB (147,234 bytes) which is more than your 140.6.

Don't argue with idiots, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
