Shane that would be the steering wheel  Wink
I wont deny that in the past I have discovered that my car will do significantly faster than will get me banned. I wasn't silly enough to take a picture at the time as one little gust of wind, one slip and I'd have been a foot note in the local paper of the town I was flying by.

You were breaking the law. Your IP Address with location is recorded and I have alerted the proper authorities, I would expect a severe fine in the mail within the week. Mum won't be too happy. Smiley

Top speed... 75mph. Though in all fairness that was my first attempt at the dual carriageway  Grin

I know of people doing 50mph in a 30mph zone just hours after passing their driving tests. I'd much rather go faster in an aircraft - The speed limits are usually minimums there.

Unfortunately, I do not have a photo, (no wife to lean over and snap) so it doesn't count, but I once saw 160 mph (=257 km/h) @ 6000 rpm in 5th gear in my Z28. Just wish I had shifted into 6th and held it for a few seconds. But the rev limiter kicked in with a bang and scared the kibble out of me. It took me a few seconds to realize what had happened as I was slowing  back down. It took a little longer to clean the seat.  Roll Eyes

Sadly, a 5 speed autobox, but the steptronic is fun Smiley
She has got 235,000 km on the clock now, so not something I do on a regular basis. Looking for a 530D to replace her.

See what you mean Shane. However if it was snow and ice, my winter tyres would have limited me to 190 kph  Grin Grin

Know how you feel. I once (and only once) took a mates Subaru Legacy B4 for a spin down the Autobahn. Hit 165 mph and the limiter. She started to splutter and miss. I soiled myself thinking I had blown his pride and joy and how the hell was he going to get back to the UK and what was this going to cost me and how hard would he snack me and what would my wife say and, and, and then I realised what was happening. All this in about a half a second. Still it was fun, big cheesy grin but....................a wife, two small children, a dog, tank of fish and a mortgage that needs to be paid so it is on my list of things that were fun at the time but they do not have a requirement to be repeated!!
