I was fooling around with my settings in FSX and REX in Hawaii with Dino's F-14. Somehow, I was getting like 30 FPS with these shots.
Sorry about the quality. Was 5 megs a shot, and had to compress a lot. What is the best method of compression? Thanks, C&C is welcome.
(Thanks Dino for the awesome aircraft views!)
Asus G71GX-RX05 from BestBuy. 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 (Very easily overclocked by 15%, 25% for xtreme live-or-die sessions),
6GB of 800MHz DDR2 RAM 1GB GDDR3 Nvidia GeForce GTX 260M 500GB 5400 RPM SATA-150 HDD, w/ 2nd drive bay. All for only $1300!
THIS IS AWESOME!!!

For what it's worth, I've been leaving my shots in BMP 'til the 'bitter end'. Start with a payware edit - more versatility then, as part of resizing, increase the pixels per inch count. Finally, I go to Paint.Net for the switch to JPG 'cause it's got the only file size counter I trust
. Your shots are fine - the hue selection is different.

Awesome shots. The sky and water colors are amazing.

Just thought I would let you know; your post caused me a $41.03 deficit in my bank account. And I am still only on file #4.

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Does anyone want me to send them the REX theme? I can help you install it. It's about 2 kb, so it won't be a big download.

I'll take it. Although I currently don't own REX, I'd still like to have it when I do get it.

First, save a REX theme. It doesn't matter what is in it. you can name it anything. Then put this file into the theme folder of that name.
32 bit: C:\Program Files\Real Environment Xtreme\Themes
64 bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Real Environment Xtreme\Themes
So, I will put the file into my theme folder that is saved as "OMG SUNRISE", overwriting the file that it there before. Now, when I reload the "OMG SUNRISE" theme, it will load my theme.

am impressed with the second...so much detail and 3-dimensional, for a back-lit image....usually back-lit planes seem featureless and flat....you must have light coming from somewhere?...if not, again, i'm impressed....
intel i7 950.....asus p6t delux v2....asus gtx 285......raptor 150g...raptor300g (fsx)......liquid cooled cpu cooler.....6gb corsair 1600-777........windows 7......antec 900 case.....
