Thanks!  The landscape is from here at simviation, by Gottfried Razek.

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/perlfect/search/search.pl?p=1&lang=en&include=...

He's done a huge chunk of Nevada, Utah and Colorado, plus a few other places.  The landscape actually looks better than the one in the screeny.  I was going about 1500 KIAS, so the scenery was lagging a bit.  Cheesy

The effect is a modified "firework" effect.

The ground is a bit blurry, but in fact this is not distuburbing at all, kind of "focus" effect Smiley

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks guys!  Too bad Pendercraft no longer seems to be in operation  I would have liked to have seen his completed Spindrift instead of just the FS9 Demo.  But the Pendercraft site seems to be infected by mall-ware, and it's been that way for many months.

Ripping a hole in the time space continuum is the best method of transport.  Cheesy

That would be a cool "efect".  A "go to" function where you set your intended destination's lat., long, elevation, and flip a switch, watch a 5 second countdown, or switch to an external view, the "Poof!" In a flash and a <insert warp sound effect here>, your aircraft disappears, the the view jumps to your destination, then in a flash, and a <insert exiting warp sound effect here>, your aircraft appears.

Of course, that would take the fun out of flying cross country, what with the tedium of mucking about in hyperspace...  Grin    Roll Eyes

"Popped In"  In What?  Can't tell what the aircraft is from that angle.  Do you have a side view to post?

It's a repaint of Ron Pendergraft's Spindrift demo, from the 1960's TV series, "Land of the Giants"
