Oh dear. Fozzer will be stuck on his own in Kommunist airspace...with his Kapitalist airplane. I might have to escort that Baron with my L-39. Grin

Just a note, I won't be using An-225 as my name during these flights anymore. It'll either be RA-96018 or CCCP-82060. Wink

If am comfortable with it enough by then, I'll try to bring my new Yak-40.
Otherwise, expect an Antonov An-24.

For Fozzer, I suppose he could try out any of the following eastern designs:

Cheesy

Looking forward to seeing a crowd there. The FS2004 scenery for the destination is pretty good, too.

138 Miles....

I spent yesterday afternoon trying out some of my default, General Aviation, Piston/Turbine-Prop Aircraft, in anticipation of a rapid journey for the Multiplayer trip....
...and my Trusty Turbo-Charged, default, Beech Baron 58 will still match most of them for speed.....<220 Knots...253 MPH!
...and is a good deal more manageable than my various default Turbine-Props...
...and Jets are out of the question!... Shocked...!

So...as usual.. I will be polishing the spinners on my Trusty Baron.... Kiss...!
..and, as always, I try to use default aircraft for the Multiplayer sessions so that they appear "correctly" to other Pilots (hopefully!).. Wink...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav...and a pair of glowing spinners!... Kiss...!

P.S.  ...all my useful Russian Antonov aircraft have Egyptian Hieroglyphics? on the Instrument Panels... Sad...!

Dell Dimension 5000 BTX Tower. Win7 Home Edition, 32 Bit. Intel Pentium 4, dual 2.8 GHz. 2.5GB RAM, nVidia GF 9500GT 1GB. SATA 500GB + 80GB. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Micronet ADSL Modem only. Saitek Cyborg Evo Force. FS 2004 + FSX. Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower...Motor Bikes. Gas Cooker... and lots of musical instruments!.... ...!

Oh, it's not so bad Paul. All you need to know is that Водка = Water and if you hear "Zapusk Raketa" at any point during your flight, drop flares and bank sharply. Wink

I have got a gorgeous Antonov AN-26, with an amazing  Photo Realistic 2D Panel + Cockpit in my Hangar....
...which is unusable because of the Russian text on the instruments, etc... Sad...!

Far too dangerous to fly!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...and "Russian" all over the place!... Grin...!

All it takes is a little perseverance with the flight manuals, Paul!

I don't speak a word of Russian (except for "Hello" and "Goodbye"), and I routinely fly a number of Russian aircraft with accurate panels!  Wink

In any case, I think someone is going to have to get you a faux-Soviet livery for that Baron!  Grin Smiley

...If I were to fly a Russian aeroplane with Russian words all over the Cockpit, the last Russian word you would hear from me would be.........

........GOODBYE!....Ahhhhhhhh!........ Shocked...!

I don't need to be frantically studying a Russian-English Dictionary in the last 3 Minutes before landing!... Shocked... Wink... Grin...!

Paul....G-BP............ Cry...!

.... Grin....!

Smiley I understand completely. Sometimes its nice to just start up and get flying as soon as possible!

Looking forward to seeing you online during the weekend!  Wink

Best wishes,

-Sean

EDIT/UPDATE:

I've been practicing more with my Yak-40, and I can confirm that if I make it to this event, I will be bringing it.
It sure is a unique experience after flying with the Tupolev 154 for so long! Moving from the green Tupolev panel to the gray Yakovlev, slightly different systems logic (overall similar though), simple ADF and VOR systems ONLY, and completely different flight dynamics!

Flight Plan Filed... Smiley...!

I will try out my (default) Beech King Air 350 (Turbine Prop) this morning to see how she compares with speed, to my trusty, turbocharged,  Beech Baron 58...

If they have propellers up front, (rather than overhead... Shocked...) I can generally manage them... Kiss...!

Jets on Passenger Tubes* are mostly a no-no for me!... Wink...!

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav... Cool...!

* (The default Learjet 45 is my only other alternative).... Roll Eyes...!
