Nah, these aren't edited. I used ENBseries bloom to increase the contrast. Wink
Hadn't realized so much could be done for FS with this ENBseries.  Took a look at their website - which of their many offerings is the best download?

Very recently, somebody has uploaded to some FS download sites a package containing the ENB bloom tweaked for FS.
I could not find it here at Simviation, but you can find it at flightsim.com (filename "lightbloom.zip")for example, and perhaps in other sites too.

It works with FSX and FS9. For FSX, it will work ONLY in DirectX9 mode. In order to work correctly, your computer needs to be up to date with the various DirectX9 updates from the MS website.

EDIT: nevermind, I have found it in Simviation, right here:
http://www.simviation.com/simviation/?ID=85&page=25&mark=7910

Funny thing is, I made the screenshots used as thumbnails for this download Smiley
(I didn't remember that somebody uploaded that stuff into the SimV library...)

EDIT2: I downloaded that file and finally it's incorrect. The D3D9.dll file, which contains the bloom effect, is missing from this archive  Huh
So I guess it's better if you take the GTA San Andreas 0.75 from the author's website, or the file I mentionned from flightsim.com.

That's quite an impact, nevertheless...
Check the ini file, look at the [effects] section, check that ONLY the bloom is set to "1", all the rest at "0".
The bloom module contains in fact several other effects, some of them really are FPS killers.

Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but that doesn't sound promising for me! My system would end up with... lets see probably about 5 fps  Roll Eyes

Daube, I hope you're suggestion will help!

The FPS impact of the bloom effect on my old 8800GTX is just one to five FPS.
