Good afternoon all... Smiley

FSX and Vista
FS Water Configurator
HDE Clouds
Aircraft from FSX or Simviation Download Section
All Freeware

The first shot is new today, the last two were taken several weeks ago, I played with the settings in BD Sizer and FSX settings to see what I could do to make the shots more interesting.
The first shot I wanted it to look as if it were taken from the top right hand corner, could not seem to accomplish that and several times FSX would come up as an error and restart.  It was and is frustrating.
The last two shots I tried to adjust the lighting from the  shot and I tried several programs but I do not see any change.  Right now I am using BDSizer as I find it the easiest but I do not believe it will make the changes that I was trying to do. Using Paint.Net I lost the picture once and could not accomplish the light changes I wanted to.

If I have used one program for uploading like BDSizer can I not take that same picture and make changes to it in another program like Paint.Net or do I need the original shot?

Advice and comments most welcome.

Rather than try to maneuver the image around the shot, I try to visualize what I want - plane, sky, scenery wise then widen it out with the '-' key to allow for cropping.  To me a plane looks better going towards something either slightly up or down towards opposing corners.  If you don't have Paint.Net (freeware), get it just for their cropping tool - they call it 'move selection' and it works great.  Also on Paint.Net is an area called 'adjustment' and in that drop-down is 'levels'.  Read up on that a little and you'll find it literally makes things come alive.  Other gadgets there to make things look a little less, or more, technicolor - try 'em all and watch what they do for you................different strokes etc  Smiley.

Cropping is for the weak !  Angry

Great job on those shots Doug. The second one is my favorite Smiley

Just one thing though: try to vary the position and the distance of the plane on the shot.
Sometimes closer, sometimes more distant, view from above like in your shots, or view from below, stuff like that. Carefull with the plane you choose for close shots, you need good details and paints Wink

If I could place the mouse cursor on the plane and drag it around - fine, but all this ctl+shift+whatever just to accomplish something similar to a crop?  Besides a crop allows you to simultaneously remove all the debris (pause bar menu bar and outside view) you forgot in the original excitement of taking the shot Smiley.
