So for those of you who have Windows 7, you'll know that the task bar is slightly different to previous editions of Windows. Instead of having the icons large and showing each individual task which is open, it shows merely the logo of the program which is open. From there you click it and you get all the other icons up for other tasks open under that single application.
For example, on Vista and earlier it gives me MSN Messenger and then my individual conversations separate to one another. On 7 it gives you the single MSN Messenger icon. You click on that and then you get the individual conversations coming off that.
Vista and earlier:

I've used a laptop running Windows 7 so I tried to see what options I could change, but none seemed to change the GUI to that of Vista.
I really can't stand that interface where I can't see everything that is currently open. When light shines on the screen it can become pretty difficult to see if someone on messenger is talking and I like to see everything I have open.
Has anyone with 7 found a way to get the settings right so that it can look like Vista once again? If and when I get a laptop for university, I'm pretty much stuck with using 7 as they'll have mostly discontinued Vista on the majority of laptops out there.
Please no Vista bashers... Win 7 is based off Vista and I am yet to find an actual bash which is true. I'm perfectly capable of using Vista as it's very easy to use.
