Good morning Matt... Smiley

See you flying early this morning... Smiley

I use HDE Clouds all the time and I like to set the weather myself.
Weather selections>User Defined>Advanced Settings I think is where I go.

Your 2nd shot is very good.   Smiley

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

It's actually late over here in Tasmania! (About 8:30pm at the moment!) Are you in the United States?

Do you know if there is an easyish way of saving custom weather settings for future flights?

Good evening Matt... Smiley

No I live in South Eastern Ontario, Canada where we do enjoy the four seasons of the year.
The United States of America is about a seventy minute flight from me in the Cessna 185 but a long old drive if going by land vehicle.
We have many friends in the United States and it is a wonderful country to visit if you get a chance.   Smiley

Sorry Matt can't give you any information on saving those settings unless they save when you save a flight.

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Doug,

I imagine it would get pretty cold up there in winter!

I might look into making weather themes, just to see if it's not too complicated Smiley

Hi Matt... Smiley

No it does not get "Arctic" cold here.

It is a damp cold and sometimes it will be minus forty with the wind chill and then we have temperatures on the plus side of the "C" scale as well.
The farther north the dryer the cold, it is not as damp, now we are on the Great Lakes and have thousand of lakes and rivers in this area.

But we do not live in igloos and eat polar bears or seals.   Grin

This has been a dry winter for us which is not good.  We need the snow for the wells especially the livestock farmers.
Nothing worse than having to buy water for livestock.

There is just as much to do here in the winter as there is in the summer, fall and spring.   Wink
-ice boat racing or cruising
-skidooing
-hockey
-ice skating
-skiing (downhill and cross country)
-snow shoeing
-tobogganing or sledding
-flying off skis
and much much more... Wink

Programming the weather themes is not difficult and you will enjoy the results.   Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Is that a custom weather pattern or one of the many default ones from the weather selection list?

I do like the first one quite a lot  Shocked Cool

It's just one of the default ones, cold fronts I think! I reckon I could have got it looking much nicer with some tweaking of the weather...

Flying Trucker,

I wouldn't mind coming over for some skiing! Grin

Do you have any recommendations for nice places to fly up your way? And is there any good addon scenery to go with it?

Matthew
