Just got a Saitek yoke & pedals throttle qual hooked up Sunday. Love it!   Yowsa, what a way to fly.
Question is can I just plug the ol' joystick in the 'puter and till fly w/ a stik? Some planes require it, eh?

shanx.

I would imagine so...

Plug it in.....Found new Hardware...

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Game Controllers >
Add......your new joystick.
You will then have 2 listed.
Just click on the one you wish to use...it will say "OK".

Don't forget to test it in "Properties"... Wink...!

Wow! I'm honored to have Fozzer reply! Made my day.

Tried what you suggested, but now I can control with either when they're both plugged in.  Hey, it works!

Thanks Fozz!

Tee-Hee... Grin...!

You never know your luck... Wink... Wink...!

Glad you got it working, Jim!... Smiley...!

I agree with you about Yoke v Joystick....The Joystick feels more natural in Aircraft which are controlled by using a Joystick...
...Piper Cubs/Austers.. Kiss....and Military Aircraft, etc... Cool...!

I have got used to using my Twist Joysticks for all my Aircraft, over the years....it does the job!...(and costs a lot less than a Yoke and Pedals!)....Wink...!

(Owning BOTH a Joystick and a Yoke, indicates a Man of infinite wealth!)... Shocked.... Grin...!

...and that's no J Y oke!... Grin...!

No wealth. A friend jumped into FSX last year thinking of getting his PPL. Made it thru gnd school, but saw the cost and time and quit. Asked if I was inteested in his hardware. Less than 1/2 price! Who could say no?

Thanks again. love your plane

Hello Jim...

I often wonder how many "Simmers" buy a "Game", and start to see their future in the real thing!.... Roll Eyes..!

Flight Simmers become Pilots?
Train Simmers become Train Drivers?
Driving Simmers become Formulae 1 Racing Drivers?
Ship Simmers become Admirals?
Truck Simmers become Truck Drivers?

Fishing Simmers become Fishermen?

Horse Training Simmers become Cowboys?

Flower Arranging Simmers become Florists?

Probably not!.... Roll Eyes...

They become sensible Tradesmen, like the rest of us...Wink...!

...or stack shelves in Wallmart?

Paul....G-BPLF....FS 2004...FS Nav...retired Electrical Engineer... Smiley...!

Or they might become game developers, like yours truly  Wink

It was my experiences in FS addon making that turned me down that road... I can't say I've looked back... this is what I was born to do  Cheesy
