I've replaced a previous post that was rather glowing and optimistic about this plane, with this short one here.

The plane is a mixed bag.  In addition to having to completely disable several addons to stop this plane from having OOMs, I am also starting to discover some major major bugs, which I won't go into here.

I am very pleased to report that the smoothness and frame rates on this plane are very good, say as good or better as the pmdg md-11.  I think this plane is developed by a good development team and will become one of the best planes ever for FSX.  It isn't there yet though.

I'm not sorry for buying it however.  I'm really tired of all the glass panel planes, and have been looking forward to it. This plane is a thrill, even watching the visor go down.  But I have to report at this time that it is going back into the "hangar" until some things get fixed.  NOT!

I have alternated between being WOWED, to running into some problems and being really pissed off, to finally understanding the nature of some of this bird's teething issues.  I'm back to being wowed again.

My humble recommendation is that if you are considering a purchase, spend some time on the fslabs forums and understand some of the issues you might face on your machine.

I dare say that no plane has ever had such exstensive modelling...ever...bar none.

That Engineers panel there is about twice as big vertically than can be depicted in a 1024 x 535 (resized) screen capture.  And yes, every switch works, although I haven't tried them all.  The good news is that you can complete an entire flight without even having to look at it.  All the important stuff can be automated.

These are my raw screen captures, resized to be only 1024 across.  I thought I would include them to give you a taste of what I'm actually seeing on my screens.  Sorry for the lack of clarity.

The cockpit picture corresponds to the takeoff picture that is first in this thread.  It is at about 14 degrees of rotation, not sitting on the ground. Even though the nose droops, you still land and takeoff at very high AOAs, so vertical screen space was a concern of mine. However, the visibility is very manageable, especially with a Track IR (you can just sit up higher to see over the nose).

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
