I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week if that can be counted here.
I used to do Karate, badmington, tennis, etc.
I like cycling and things like that though.

I use to play baseball, now I am a spectator. I very seldom practice a variety of martial art styles. (only when I need to get stress off most of the time)

I've probably played most of the common sports. I used to be very good at football and was a part of the Southampton youth program many many years ago. Cricket, cross country running, Judo black belt, Rugby, Basketball, I've played american football and had a try out for a small college in the US a few years back. These days i prefer the lazy life, all those sports have taken a massive toll on me, broken bones, torn ligaments, so on lol.

I was a county standard footballer, I represented Norfolk schoolboys 6 times and had trials with 4 professional clubs. Then I found alcohol and girls...
I held a junior black belt at Judo (well almost.. got 2 out of 3 black tags on my green belt).
I had a UK National Motor racing licence for 18 months when I was 25, I never found the funding to follow it throught though.
Now I only play darts and pool... allcomers welcome to challenge me
Sport was my life at school, I LOVED it.

I do Cross Country for my school team in the Winter, do a three runs a week around the neighbour hood ( about 2.5 miles ) and then I do sprinting for my school athletics in the Summer.
I'm truly hopeless at anything which requires skill or any game with balls involved.
I like running though.

I thought that was cycling? Most places seem to say running is bad for your joints and although it exercises your muscles, it drains you quite quickly. With cycling you can go for far longer to get more exercise from it.

Cycling obviously does it too... but running is good for fitness. It might not get you there quicker but has the same benefits.

They don't make chains like they used to. You can't get the wood you know. (Old Goon Show joke.

Have played rugby and done boxing along with judo and jujitsu. Used to do skiing and ice skating.
Still do, rock climbing, mountain biking and running around after 2 children (more masochism than sport that last one)
Oh and when I get the chance I like to go shooting
Does swimming count? I don't really do it as a sport but I used to and I still enjoy it.

I can remember when I was a young'en, back in school, hundreds of years ago, being forced to run round a muddy field, semi-naked, freezing cold, wearing a thin Shirt and Shorts, in the depths of Winter, attempting to kick a stupid ball into a stupid fishing net!...

From that day forward, I avoided any activity involving the word "Sport"....especially involving; "Balls" of any sort....trust me...

LOL Foz.
That brings back some memories. I've never been any good at team games. I was always left on the sidelines when they picked the teams & would have preferred being somewhere else doing something more interesting - like watching paint dry.
I'm pretty useful at table-tennis, ten-pin bowling & a mean hand with a dart if that counts as sport. I can still give my son-in-law a run for his money at badminton.

When I was in school, I played baseball, football, tennis, bowling and golf, as well as hunting and fishing. After I became an adult, golf, racketball, bowling, competition pistol shooting, archery, jujitsu, hunting and fishing. Now, due to health concerns, I'm limited to non-physical activities, like FS and playing my guitars.

Sorry it took so long to reply Thud. I don't get in this thread often. I have a Fender Telecaster and a Takamine EF325SRC acoustic with a 4 band EQ, Fender Power Chorus amp, Digitech RP100 fx, Peavy SR600C PA with two 115HC cabinets, Kawaii GB-2 session trainer driven by a Brother PDC100 sequencer as my back up band, and a Tascam Portastudio 424 four track recorder. I just don't have any way to put my tunes on CD.

I've always hated the tendency of my school to force me into playing sport - I'd much rather a trip to the library instead.
I'm quite fragile, so any sport tends to be a game of "Avoid Being Hospitalised" for me.

What kind of stupid school do you go to?
Is it private?
And if it is in the US and a public, they cannot do that...
My school never did that to us...

I've always hated the tendency of my school to force me into playing sport - I'd much rather a trip to the library instead.

What kind of stupid school do you go to?

Sport was compulsory when I went to school. You had to do it whether you liked it or not. Not only that but we had to do it out of normal school hours. I was never keen on it myself but think stopping it was a bad idea. So many schools nowadays don't even have a sports field.

Well from what I know, every highschool in my county has a sports field for baseball(sometimes shared with softball), football,(shared with soccer and lacrosse) and basketball, and ours has a softball field.

As far as team sports go: 7th Grade Flag Football. After that I choose academics over sports.
Used to play roofball with some guys during lunch period in the 10th grade.
