It kind of looks like a cross between a Mazda 3 and a Toyota Matrix.

Top rear viewing angles almost have a BMW like appearance.

I don't like it . Tongue

Guys it's a prototype. That means that it will not go into production looking like this. Some parts, like the GPS, will be in future models, the engines will become available over the next years. The model itself is a matter of taste like most upperclass Mercedes models are. I like it but then again I'm a Mercedes fan/owner.

Crash- I've never seen a M.B. I thought was ugly, until now.  Wink

For their sake, I hope they put nothing from that body design into production. Nothing about the exterior says Mercedes to me. It looks like they slapped the star on a Japanese import.

How they can go from creating the SLS to that thing is mind boggling.  Huh

The front of the car looks like an SLS with a bigger spoiler underneath it. The rest has something of a CLS coupe but with sliding doors. Sliding doors are getting more and more a kind of 'fashion' item. European manufacturers like Peugeot are using them for a couple of years now on their small 1007 model city car.

I agree with you about the back of the car. Too much of a common design.

I'm really liking the doors, and I like the classic MB greenhouse shape, and rear deck, but the front just doesn't look right and everything below the belt line looks misplaced to me.

There is definite potential in some of the design elements, just not all in one car.

The 458 still hasn't grown on me either, so maybe I've finally reached that age my dad warned me about, where I will prefer the look of older styling vs. the new. Embarrassed
