I am looking for a good, easy to use, free radar to keep track of multiplayer in FS9.

Thanks in advance.

Cool

I've never seen that gauge before, but I love it!  Cool

Where can I find that?

you can find it here

It is the aiRadR30 gauge - with all its modules  Smiley works fine in fs9, but not yet tested in FSX

Our Chums over at WSP (Worlds Serious Pilots), use a version of Google Mapping which shows the positions of all their Pilots who are flying on line in their various Multiplayer Servers in "real time" (updating).
An excellent idea.

It is possible to zoom down to them, and see the Google Scenery around them, Airfields, etc...

I wonder if it can be incorporated into Sim V's Multiplayer Server...(Sam?).... Roll Eyes...!

Paul....G-BPLF...FS 2004...FS Nav (my Radar!... Wink...).... Cool...!

We do have this:

http://cockpit.netfrag.org/mapmulti.php?name=Worldview

I can access it through the webpage function of my FS9 Kneeboard.

Thanks for the link Shane, I'll check that out.

Cool

That's the one!... Smiley...!

I think the Gauge that Shane refers to, only covers AI Aircraft...not our Multiplayer Aircraft?

Paul...G-BPLF...FS 2004... Cool...!

The Google Map updates at intervals. The FS Nav Radar Map updates continuously, in real time.

Yeah Shane, that's not exactly what I'm looking for. I want something with a map that I can watch other players flying around airports so I can act as ATC.

Cool

I don't know of any maps you can use in game like the google one.

I do know that radar gauge will show multiplayer planes, because I've used the stripped down version (center display only) for that very purpose.  Wink

If you have multiple monitors, you could have the google type map open on one, with FS running on the other. I do this with my FSNavigator, it helps me keep up with Fozzer on his lovely tours of SOCAL.  Smiley

Shane,

Are you saying that gauge above works in MULTIPLAYER showing the other players without the use of AIBridge?

best,

B-Valvs,

For ATC needs, try the radar screen program on this page. Don't forget the service pack below it.

Jakes,

Yes, a Traffic Collision Avoidance System. A very quick look pulled up this gauge on fs.com, but I'm sure we have a few here too.

Other than that, a standalone gauge is great too! As far as that goes, I'm guessing that you are thinking of employing that certain green radar one that everyone seems to use, but if I may mention a very nice variant of that....it is a similar system but is in color. Green for non conflict aircraft, white for nearby aircraft on the ground, yellow for possible conflict, and red for imminent conflict/collision threat.
It is found in the Chinook by Mark Adams and Tom Woods, on this page (fourth from top):
http://www.simviation.com/fs2004helicopters13.htm

It is a really excellent interpretation of a TCAS system.

Yes John, it does.  Smiley

This is the exact one I use, but it is identical to the one linked to above, minus the fancy border.  Wink

It has some files that go in the modules folder, and one or two that go in the gauges folder. After that, it's just a matter of adding the gauge to the panel.cfg of the plane you want it on.

I also use another, that adds this exact same feature to the stock FS9 GPS, showing the same info, just on the GPS unit.

I got the link to both from Sean, but can't seem to find them in my email storage, so I'll have to ask him about them again.  Smiley

You can use the google one in game if you have this (last one on the page):

http://www.simviation.com/fs2004utilities4.htm

However it doesn't display any info such as speed, altitude, etc.

I'll try that out Sean, thanks.

Cool
