Two stood out for me - one was a bit... 'über', so the simple edit won (for me)...
excuse bad grammar; "I' bin Bayer..." - German Airforce Private First Class (war reserve)

Looks like we voted the same.
Mine was more about the pretty picture that I glued the plane & waves onto, which was no talent of mine.
The real edits are the ones who chose to keep the original pic, and made the most they could from it.
Great job to all of you for not taking the easy way out like I did.

Just when things were looking really grim, he managed to roll wings level, got the power off, nose up and full flaps - landed gear up on the three mile beach. Drinking whiskey with the RAF later that night

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
