New Jersey's Gottfried Krueger Brewing Company churned out the world's first beer can on January 24 1935, stocking select shelves in Richmond, Va., as a market test. The experiment took off and beer drinkers haven't looked back since.
Cheers!

I have always preferred my soft drinks and my beer in bottles. They taste better than in a can and with a bottle you can observe whether there are any foreign objects inside. Not a thirst quenching prospect. If you have ever purchased a soda pop that had a cigarette butt or some other object in it you would get in the habit of looking before drinking.
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

I agree. Drinks are much better out of a glass bottle. And since I read a news article about a guy finding a decaying frog in his can of Pepsi (well, he actually found it in his mouth) I sometimes find myself making sure there's nothing in there now.
Glad I drink clear drinks like Sprite most of the time.
