#2 and #4 are great: the tornado almost merges with the background and the chopper-pic is somehow very colorful!

3 is awesome.
4 and 5 look cool, but may be a tad overdone for my taste.
In general I do not like HDR.
It has a very specified niche and people tend to over use it or use it incorrectly.
You have done a fine job with it however.

May I ask how did you merge the photos of the moving aircraft? If it is moving then how are they not blurred because of change in perspective? Maybe I'm missing something.
That said, these are wonderful!

Take the RAW file and save versions that are exposed by -1.5, -1, -.5, 0, .5, 1 and 1.5....make a few more if you need to get a greater dynamic range. Then merge as before in your selected program/plug in

To follow on from Mic's response, you could try a program called
Qtpfsgui
which is a free HDR program. It isn't too bad if you're looking to try something similar.
I love the first one, that is very cool

Ok that makes sense thanks for the info. I keep meaning to install that free HDR program but I keep getting busy. Like right now, I would rather be experimenting, but instead I'm fixing scanned family photos

I quite like the Vulcan shot, the cloud depth makes it work more than most. However I'm no fan of HDR for aviation photography. It's better suited for more artistic work, the rest all just look un-natural.
