Will only be exterior at first, but it's nice to see how it's getting along. http://www.captainsim.com/products/b520/

Having seen one many times at IAG I need to say that the nose looks a little misshaped . Undecided

Looks fine to me, Jordan. I think what you are seeing is the effect that their wide-angle shots have on the nose in some instances. I can definitely see a few shots where it looks misshapen because of that.

One thing that does stand out to me though is the weird livery coloration. I haven't seen a -52 painted that lightly before.

The nose does look a little funky...

...but even a perfect exterior model isn't much.

...and that thing ain't worth a quarter unless it can do this.

You'll probably need this too:

Lots of eye candy. I wonder if it flies.

And I thought AlphaSim were the only ones lame enough to do that.  I really hope this isn't a new trend for payware.

For this price (eur 9,99) this is a bargain, even taking into account it is exterior only. Amazingly beautiful! Made my first shot http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1263903697/0

And if they never "get around" to releasing a VC for it or a 2D panel, then what will you have?

I'm still just in shock that a company like CaptainSim with products like theirs, would pull something like this.

Makes a bit of money between gaps in full product releases really.

Not sure how it is connected with ethics or standards, really. They released EXTERIOR model only, without any promises etc. Those who need and like exterior - will buy. Those who don't - will not. They do not charge full price, but charge for exterior model only. And please remember their complex aircraft like Herk, 767, 757. So it is not about low standards here.

Imagine Gibson selling half a guitar for half price. "Oh, we'll get you the rest when we make it, but no promises."

...and the Herc is NOT complex. The 757/767 maybe complex, they're disgracefully inaccurate.

Guess you don't get the point here. Nobody promises anything! You get perfect exterior only. If you are not interested - just do not buy. You are complaining because they released something different from your expectations. But these are your expectations, why to blame devs for  them??

Oh yeah, Herk is not complex... Really? Do you think it is easy to develop everything which does not have FMS? I do not think so. The Herky IS complex, and very realistic. Have you ever heard of ANY MSFS aircraft nominated for BAFTA Award? And the Herk WAS in 2006.

... And I do not know if the 757/767 are soo 'disgracefully inaccurate'. Obviously they are not. Guess here we see expectations again. This is not a real world simulator for millions. I am perfectly satisfied 757/767 user. At least CS keep improving their products (not like LDS with their outdated not perfect product)

First off, you CANNOT operate an aircraft realistically without a FMS. You can spend however long you want developing a piece of crap, its still a piece of crap.

And FYI, LDS 767 is MUCH, MUCH more comprehensive and realistic than Captain Sim's, and the LDS's AP logic is still YEARS better than anything Captain Sim has came up with. Ever wonder why their "Our Aircraft is the most realistic simulation for flight simulator" sticky topic is curiously missing from the 767 forum?

I'll give you that Captain Sim makes excellent visual models, but not much more than that. The fact that they even attempted to market as anything more is unethical and disgraceful.

Don't get me wrong, I have just about all their shit (pun intended), but haven't payed a dime more than 15 bucks each.

Without that winter sale, they price their products similar to PMDG (with the exception of the PMDG MD-11), and now you tell me which plane is more worth that price tag?

Captain Sim has a terrible attitude to their customers. They won't any more money from me... since they don't care about good business I think that won't bother them much.
