Went spotting at EWR today but had my CF card confiscated by Port Authority Police around 2pm. I had a bunch of great shots, as well as the United A319 whose gear collapsed. I took a picture on my phone of the display on my camera to send to my buddy, so I figured I'd share them here, too. I'll post the pictures whenever I get my memory card back, hopefully they don't erase them all.

Ouch. Doesn't look too good.
Why did they confiscate your memory card?

Not a bad thing to print off and have in your camera bag. On the whole it is ignorance on one side a fear on the other side that lets these sort of things happen.

I'm not convinced that would do much good if you're faced with a couple of big cops or security guards with guns.
It will be interesting to hear the actual circumstances from James. He's not exactly new at this.

My point exactly Hagar, fear. This is why people pow down whether they are in the right or not. Though I would be interested to know the whole story behind Jame's experience.

Due to a recent development today regarding talks between us spotters and the Port Authority, I'm afraid I can't go into any real detail. Sorry if you were looking for juicy details, guys.
