Once in a blue moon (Read 962 times)

This was taken by a friend the night of the 'blue moon'. He was across the channel from Juneau, below the Juneau-Douglas bridge, looking west towards the airport. That is (no edit) an Alaska Airlines 737 climbing off runway 8, crossing the moon.

Actually pretty good if you know their schedule and the wind is sufficient to require that runway. Right turn after departure is standard there.

Haha I'm shocked im the first to say it, but from the second I saw this it looked fake. For the aircraft to be that sharp that would have to be a very short exposure, which doesn't really match the background which is clearly long (look at the moon!!!!!)!

Probably don't believe in the tooth fairy either. My first thought also was edit, was assured not and, personally, the friendship is more important.
