I want to apologize if this has been previously posted but, uh, it seems that when I put in the info in the aircraft.cfg file for new textures I get a message that I am not able to save the file. Any tips, please?

P.S. Happy 2010, y'all!

Which version of FS are you using and are you doing this with Notepad?

Also, this happens with aircraft.cfg files as well not just this particular file.

I assume that you're on Vista?

When using XP make sure that your cfg isn't writeprotected (maybe similar in Vista).

That's strange and shouldn't happen... Are you an admin on the PC you're playing on?  Huh

I've had that happen a few times to me as well, no idea why.

First, try just a save. (if you weren't already) If that doesn't work what I do as a walkaround is save it with a new name like aircraft2.cfg then delete the old .cfg and rename the new one to aircraft.cfg.

Hope it works for ya. May be worth it to investigate why it won't let you save before you try the walkaround.  Wink

Cool
