Hello everyone.

Some of you guys might remember from about a year ago, that I was working on an F100D Super Sabre for FS9 and ran into some animation problems with the Panda exporter for 3dsmax.

I purchased FSX Deluxe about 2 months ago and have been in love since I got it. Much more so then with FS9 for some reason... I think it's the missions. Anyway.

On a whim I decided to see how many issues I was going to run into using the SDK to get my F100D into FSX, and to my surprise I ran into no exporter errors and all my animations from FS9 worked... All I had to do was use the animation tool in 3dsmax and everything worked like gravy.

Now I get to figure out the new materials and go from there. I just wanted to share with you guys that this project is back from the grave and I hope I didn't upset anyone when I just quit working on it the last go around.

In 3dsmax7
...
Textures are still kind of cartoony.
...
In FSX, with all animations working so far.
...

Looking forward to actually finishing this one!

The Phantom is one of my favorite aircraft also, but there are many versions of it available of very high quality. The F100 on the other hand seems to be a black sheep that hasn't had much attention payed to it considering it's history.

There is an F100 here at SimV, and no disrespect to it's author... But to me, the visual model leaves something to be desired when you compare it to photo's of a real F100D Super Sabre.

I know my model isn't perfect and there is a lot of work left to be done. However I do plan to make it as realistic as my skill will allow. I started this model for FS9 and I'm still learning all the little details of the FSX SDK and what can be done with it.

I want to make this one of those models that WOW people when they load it up in FS and fly it for the first time.

It's going to take a lot of work but I'm confident. Smiley
