I followed directions from various tutorials and readme files and cannot seem to get the new paints to show up. I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. I thoroughly read this tutorial: http://www.flightsim.com/main/howto/fsxliv/fsxliv.htm and did everything it said to do. And still no new livery shows up in my FSX. I'm trying to install repaints for the 737-800 default model. Are the default planes more complicated than freewares made by users? The procedure seems so easy but I have yet to get results. I'm trying to install a UPS repaint (which did not come with readme) and a very interesting repaint by Katie Britney. At first I copied the texture folder to my simobjects/737-800 folder. It looked like this:

[fltsim.x]
title=Boeing 737-800
sim=Boeing737-800
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=pa
kb_checklists=Boeing737-800_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-800_ref
atc_id=PA69
atc_airline=Porn Air
atc_flight_number=
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_type="737-800"
ui_variation="Porn Air"
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Katie Britney"
description="One should hardly be surprised that the world's most prolific manufacturer of commercial aircraft is also the producer of the world's most popular jetliner. The 737 became the best-selling commercial jetliner worldwide when orders for it hit 1,831 in June 1987 (surpassing Boeing's own 727 as the previous champ). However, it wasn't always that way\s in the first few years of production, there were so few orders that Boeing considered canceling the program. They didn't, and the airplane has more than proven itself in over three decades of service."

Before I read the tutorial I posted above, I was getting a duplicate warning from FSX so I changed a few entries and made it like this:

[fltsim.7]
title=Boeing 737-800
sim=Boeing737-800
model=
panel=
sound=
texture=pa
kb_checklists=Boeing737-800_check
kb_reference=Boeing737-800_ref
atc_id=PA69
atc_airline=Porn Air
atc_flight_number=
ui_manufacturer="Boeing"
ui_type="737-800"
ui_variation="Porn Air"
ui_typerole="Commercial Airliner"
ui_createdby="Katie Britney"

I put [Fltsim 7] because for some reason 6 was giving me that duplicate message even though the last one before the [general] area was 5. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone see an error in my config entry? Thanks in advance.

The first line ("title"} should be unique for each fltsim entry. You shouldn't 2 entries with the same title.

I changed the title several times and still no dice.
title: Boeing 737-800PA etc.

Yes. I even tried changing it to 7 and the texture directory in the config to 7 and it didn't work

Make sure the flstsim number is following. Maybe there is fltsim.6 somewhere in the cfg file... try inserting here the whole file.

Thanks a lot DeepSpace!! You cleared it up for me. I was thinking that the number in the fltsim x was for the folder of the texture. I put it back to 6 to follow 5 and changed the title completely and it worked. Thanks again, I have now entered a new phase in my flight simming!
