Anybody have a link to a good free landclass editor, that does not require Excel?  I've been looking for two days.  I want to fix the rivers and roads going up the side of mountains.  How does one go about doing this?

FS9 or FSX?

Changing land class will not fix the problem. Land class textures only 'simulate' generic local streets and water features.

Streams and Roads are 'VTP lines', individually 'drawn'. Outside of payware terrain addons, I know of no 'global fix'. For 'local fix', redrawing the VTP lines, any of the following programs can do the job.

FS9-Sbuilder 2.05-rev6-http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=68

FS9/FSX-Aiport Design Editor (ADE9X)-http://www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk/Features.html

FSX-SBuilderX-http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=72

Note: both FSX programs require the FSX SDK be installed. Support for all 3 programs is at FSDeveloper.com.

Sorry, for FS9.  I assume only the first SBuilder works in FS9?

Thanks Dave.

xerxes,

Yes, SBuilder 2.05 for FS9. Has all the tools you'll need.

Also, I overlooked the fact that Airport Design Editor (ADE9X) now works for both FS9 and FSX. The 'Features' list the tools needed for your project, but......As ADE started out as a basic AFCAD style airport editor, I'm not sure how far away from a 'target' airport these tools can be used.

One of the authors, Scruffyduck, stops in occasionally and could shed light. Or visit their support site.

I got SBuilder and all that goes with it.  Having problems right out of the gate.  No TABCTL32.OCX file.  I got the file and all that goes with THAT.  Put it into the SBuilder folder and nothing.  Same error.

Typical.

Typical is correct in that the problem lies between the keyboard and the back of the chair.

TABCTL32.OCX is a ActiveX control and belongs in c:\Windows\System32

cheers,

Yeah I got it all straightened out.

I meant typical that nothing ever works right first off.  At least for the guy between the chair and the keyboard.  Grin

ADE does not currently support terrain elements (lines and polys) for FS9 - only for FSX.  This will be added in a later version
