Hi all,

I am finally doing a interim upgrade (tah will last a while) with an AMD 3700 Sandy, a 7900GT 512, and more memory.
My question is would I see much performance differance going with 2 addition 512 sticks over getting 2 1GB sticks?

If the 2 1GB sticks are better then how important are the timings on the sticks?  The memory I have now is Rosewill CL 2.5 and timings 2.5,3,3,7 Of coarse Rosewill doesn't make memory anymore so an exact match isn't possible.
This is the closest Match I could find. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231027

Also, I will probably need a new CPU cooler. All I have is the 3200 stock system.  I would like something that is enexpensive, quiet and that will keep the 3700 cool on a slight OC to say 2.6GHZ.
Thanks in advance.
Joe

Having two sticks is better than 4, I would just stick with 2 sticks  Wink

And you could probably pick up an after market cooler form around $20  Wink

Thats what I figured.   For the cooler I am looking at the Zalman 9500A http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118223 or
Zalman CNPS9700 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118019

The 9500 was recommended by Congo and the 9700 I saw had a bigger fan and was on $10 more.  Both reveiw awsomeand have free shipping Smiley.  Any advantage to 110mm fan vs the 92mm fan?
