The mods can delete the "moved" notification thread... it makes the forum look a lot tidier....
Come on mods!

I could do with the little "admin" box next to each thread... I'm a bit OCD about cleaning the forums...

Matt
The problem is that "General discussion" is being used as "General Delivery".
The logic must be "heck, everyone looks in General; I'll just put it there so everyone will see it."
Posters need to understand that if they have a question or comment about something specific, they will actually get more attention if it is posted in a more appropriate forum.
"General", unless I'm mistaken, is for stuff
not related directly to the other forum topics.
It's really very simple. It means no photos, no videos, no hardware, design, software, real aviation, flight training, humor, flightsim, or screenshots topics. Etc., etc.
"General", as it says in the description of the forum, is for ... well, if you don't know, guys...
read it sometime!
When we move these lazily-dumped posts, we're not being slavish to the rules or anything...
we're trying to help
.
Trying to help people with specific problems, and trying to help those who go to the "General" forum looking for topics that are not "how do I?" or "Funny video-LOL".

I used to have some serious trouble figuring out what exactly
did
belong in the general board, at first.
There are so many other boards it can get confusing for new members at times.
Unintentionally halting all discussion on forums since 1992.

It's really not that complicated... for example, this very thread is obviously a Site Question that is also Feedback (about the site). I mean, this is not a "gray area" topic- it's a question about
this site
. There's a special board for that; just requires scrolling down a bit to find it.
I can't account for Matt not seeing this, he's not new... but I really think most of the time with new members (and maybe some older ones), it's sheer laziness, or trying to gain more exposure.

Not just for new members.
And regardless of the reason or whether it was valid, when I opened General just now and saw," Moved: 'Moved'
This Topic has been moved to Site Questions & Feedback by JBaymore", I almost fell out of my chair laughing.
Now you have to admit, if I may 'borrow' a phrase, "Now that's funny. I don't care who you are." (read it with a redneck accent in mind)
If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.
