Thanks for looking.

Are you an X or a 9?  Now that I have both, it's almost like a split personality.  Smiley.

Nine. I can't afford X, not the software, the hardware I would need to run it, or the stress that would come from starting over from scratch.  Grin

I got FSX because my 9 went TU.  All the horror stories about it seem to be mostly BS and it's not that much different, user wise, from FS9 - had my settings entered and was flying in five minutes.  Mostly  whistles and bells but that's the American way  Smiley.  I got the basic version and it was cheaper than FS9, of which I now have two copies.  For my purposes, the planes fly -  look OK and the default scenery is way better than default 9.  No stutters and a steady locked on 28 FPS - and my card's only benchmarking a third of baseline   Smiley.  Other than a refreshing beverage, what more can a person want?

Yeah, but 9 was a gift from my son a few years ago. Can't get X that cheap.  Grin

You need a similar stroke of good fortune - write a note to Santa.  You know FSX comes with another stripe - I'm stitching as I type  Smiley.

At the risk of sounding really stupid, I have no idea what you mean by another stripe or stitching as you type.  Undecided

As in gaining a promotion - my FSX package assured me this was part of the deal and, you may have noticed, my sense of humor comes from being alone too much  Smiley.

No, didn't notice. But I do relate. No we don't. Yes we do. Get out of my head.
Sorry, just talking amongst ourselves.  Grin

My conversations are mainly with my two dogs (Aussie and a Pug).  Every once in a while, a recorded message will stir my interest  Smiley.  Politically, me and the dogs are pretty much on the same page, but every now and then they provide a different point of view - more canine.  Certainly keeps me on my toes which gets a little painful at my age.   Smiley.
