So I hear a commotion outside my rear patio and the weener dogs are going nuts...I take a look and these huge squirrels are invading my cat's forward operating base!  Cat food everywhere!!!  Looks like my cats lowered the colors and surrendered their position!

When I slid the sliding door open (didn't want the flash to glare) they bailed in a hurry, so I closed the venetian blinds and just stuck my lense through them, glass door still open, and laid there for 15 minute, freezing my butt off.  I knew they'd be back, and sure enough, my patience paid off...

...

He decided the coast was clear...
...

and after a brief prayer of Thanksgiving...
...

It was time to pig out!  His minion decided it was safe enough to emerge...
...

They got awfully brave after the taste of dry cat food hit their lips...
...

He was within two feet of me, I could have reached out and grabbed him!!  He must have been wondering what the strange black thing sticking out of the blinds was...
...

After seeing it was just a lense, he chuckled to himself...
...

But when I sneezed, well, he wasn't too happy, and his minion bailed faster than a cat getting squirted with a water gun...
...

Those are rather large squirrels. LOL Cheesy

The question is, what are you going to do about these uninvited guests?

Hope that was a zoom lens Truck, they are vicious little buggers if you get too close. Nice shots though Smiley

I would be careful around such "squirrels".  Occasionally you will come across a more agressive one, plus raccoons are carriers of rabies.

A friend and I came across an aggressive one just recently. as soon as we saw him we froze.. he looked at us, went behind a tree to watch us carefully walk by.. I had a soccer ball ready to throw at him and ditch Grin

I was using my 18-200mm, but I was nearly face to face with them, not the smartest thing, but they were more interested in the food, and I'm not sure if they could see me too well with the venetian blinds shut around me, just the lense sticking out  Grin (sniper)

They were about 2 feet away from my face  Smiley

Alrot, I was just making a joke about them being squirrels.  Grin

Well you fooled me. I've heard of people going elk hunting and shooting a cow.

When the "squirrels" steal stuff (i.e. food), they put their masks on so they won't be recognized! Cheesy

Plus, it makes it hard to pick 'em outta a line-up should they be apprehended. Grin
