My eagerly awaited new copy of FS9 arrived, was installed and performed as badly as the other.  My video card appears to run the FSX demo but not FS9.  There are 8mb of on board graphics and FS9 is getting about 12FPS frrom that whereas FSX demo shows around 50.  Been studying the Mobo bios and the PCI is set PEG/PCI and the on board graphics are enabled with no option other than 1mb/8mb.  Something is rotten here - I can smell it but can't find it  Smiley.
Here's a postscript - just 'shot myself in the foot'.  For some reason I disabled the PEG port in the Northbridge section of Bios and instantly discovered that was the graphics outlet.  Nothing onscreen and not a clue how to fix it - otherwise, everything's good.

What I read is that you are using on-board graphics. Am I right?

If that's the case, it's just not going to work. You need an actually dedicated graphics card to run any game with any expectations.

As far as I know, there's no way to disable, on this bios, the onboard graphics.  The only provided option is 1MB or 8MB.  It's while investigating this that the PEG port was disabled and I lost everything to the monitor screen.

Update.  If all else fails, read the instructions  Smiley.  Moved my CMOS header for 5 seconds, reset it and Voila!!  This computer stuff continues to amaze.
