I have this problem in FS9 - ok I run FS9 on my notebook to test my models, and have the normal onboard Intel 945 graphics chip. Alllthough i dont think that is the problem. when I am in the aircraft selection page, the aircraft displays normal, but as soon as the aircraft is selected, the aircraft is dark, and then also in gameplay. This happens with any aircraft  Smiley see the following shots:

My notebook specs:

1.6 Dualcore Centrino CPU
2GIG RAM
Intel 945 Graphics chip where 512MB is dedicated
enough space ect on HD
Vista Home Basic
FS9 SP2 is installed
NO other addons

If someone could help it would be much appreciated!

raise the settings for the aircraft and see if that makes a difference.

the only real way to see if everything is going to look GREAT and the way that you want it to look, is to max everything out and just glace at it.  Nevermind the FPS if you are only using it to TEST with.

if you are actually FLYING FS9 as your main sim, then if the FPS are being hit hard, then back them back down to 1/2 way, but leave your aircraft settings maxed out.

I actually use my desktop pc to test and fly ,the notebook is more to see if the model is exported correctly,as i do all the modelling on the notebook. Once the export is fine, and animations is tested on notebook, I install the update on the desktop pc,and do a propper test. Will see what happens with higher settings, thanx.
