Would that long-levity be the same as longevity? Tongue
No... long levity is more humorous. If you're stuck with humour, you may not understand...

Did you have an Army Gas Mask, too? Um, shouldn't you have had the Johnny version instead of Amy's?

Betwixt Hagar and Fozzer, I forgot what I was originally intending to post.  Cheesy

I find only certain Python skits, sometimes only one part in a skit, humorous/humourous, especially those for television, which makes it short on entertainment. The Holy Grail, although not entirely entertaining, was preferable to any of the series. Although I note the similar genre, I much prefer the former Python castmember's show: Fawlty Towers with John Cleese.
I find most of the Mr. Bean skits more annoying than funny whereas most of the Are You Being Served? shows at least peked a few smiles as did Benny Hill, although he was often too lewd.

We have that effect on most people. Cheesy

I agree with that. Most of the Python skits go on for far too long. This seems a common trend with modern comedy.

It's all in the mind. Are You Being Served & the Benny Hill Show are old-fashioned classic British comedy with plenty of double entendre like the Carry On films. Lewdness might have been implied but unlike "alterative comedy" there was never anything objectionable in it.

That's about their excuse concerning our outlook on certain current productions. Another related point: though not usually quite as suggestive, even previews for the old shows (rather, when they were about to be new) were too revealing; the same can be doubly said for today's previews (is that 'implied' enough?).

Am I the only person in the world not to see anything amusing in Monty Python?

Perhaps I'm the the only one prepared to admit it. Undecided

Know what you mean; same with me about South Park and Family Guy.

Ditto, and ditto. It's hard not to know a little something about them in today's world, but I don't watch any of them. Nor do I watch Monk. Sorry, I just can't stand the actor, especially in that role. I'd much rather watch reruns of Becker, MASH, Night Court, or several others.

Well, you all aren't alone.

Though I did like 'History of the World,Part 1'

I guess I just don't see a lot of 'funny' in that sort of humor.
