Just a heads up.  It's still some weeks off, as I still need to figure out animations and panels, but I've pretty much figured out textures and although the pros might think it' a bit rough, at least it is starting to look like it'll actually be finished.  Transparent textures were a lot easier to do than I thought they would be.  I wish they were more reflective, though...

You can make them reflective. Are you using GMax? If you want to know, just ask me. I recently discovered the technique myself. I can also help you a little bit with animation.

Here is the secret to shininess!  Shocked

PS: I believe this is the way. Try it! THIS IS FOR THE FUSELAGE SHININESS!
*READ THE INFO AT THE BOTTOM FOR GLASS SHININESS.

After you complete this, just export your model and place the texture in the texture folder of your aircraft. Use DXTBmp to make a alpha template and edit the alpha to make it the correct darkness. If you don't know how to do this, I can either post another tutorial or you can send me the texture and I will do it for you.

*If you want the glass shinier, uncheck Specular level and check "Opacity." Browse for the texture like you did for the others.

Need any help? Tell me! I demand it!  Cheesy

Sorry, I can't help with that!  Grin And hey, its modeling dynamic 3D aircraft in a complex application, not baking cookies. It is not going to be easy. You will need to make time for this. Once you get the hang of it, the shininess thing won't seem so complex as it seems now. It is not that hard.  Wink
