it had to happen.  Roll Eyes
According to my research, 'Pappy' never actually flew #86, it was just used for a photo op. So I took a little artistic license. Hope you like it. Smiley

If God intended aircraft engines to have horizontally opposed engines, Pratt and Whitney would have made them that way.

Thanks guys. I also added the kill flags to Skyboss. I did not have them at the time I first did the repaint. And I changed the contact points on the gear. You can't tell from these shots, but it was sitting about 2" off the ground. I just hope I can get the bottom accurate. It may not be possible because of the way the designer made the textures. But I haven't tried yet. Cheers.  Smiley

I have to assume it may be a big job to change it, but I think the navy blue is way too dark. It looks almost black. Maybe that's how a fresh one looks-- I don't know. Jus' sayin'...

It's not possible, for me at least, to make it 100% accurate, mainly the lighter fuse and wing bottoms. And I like most of my aircraft to have a new looking, sharp paint job, so...
But, to each his own. Different strokes for different folks, that's what makes the world go 'round. If I did not already have several projects going, I would try to do one like you suggest. But a wise man once said, "you can please all the people part of time and part of the people all the time. But you can't please all the people all the time."
But you are entitled to your opinion and have the right to state the facts. And I think you are correct in your statement. And we have a lot of good people all over the world right now, mainly the middle east, trying to defend that right. In other words, I am not offended by your post in the least and I support your right to say it. I just don't have the time or inclination to do a repaint that fits right now. Sorry.
Cheers, Smiley
