Emergencies/Unusual Events (Read 1029 times)

I'm fairly certain that these have not been simulated yet, but I thought it would be neat to see in the future.

Simulation of the light gun used for lost communications procedures.

Emergency vehicles that move around and accurately treat your aircraft depending on the type of emergency declared.

Military interceptions for certain airspace incursions.

Runway incursions from animals.

If anyone knows of any features like this in development or already out there, let me know!  Smiley

I think animals wandering on to small runways would be a really nice twist! Some nice ideas you have there.  Smiley

I wouldn't mind being able to declare an emergency and get emergency landing clearance.  I don't know how many times I've been way past bingo and had to wait in the pattern behind a bunch of 737s with practically full tanks.

I bolded what I wanted to see most as I crashed into Narita airport twice, by mistake. It would of been interesting to see some helicopters inspect the crash site and etc. I donno, maybe it be neat to have your pilot walk out and airlifted to the nearest airport or hospital and have a "crash screen" activate there or something.....

And I put the second most wanted feature in Italics as I tried to see how the Sim world would behave. Sadly I just kept getting "Change your squad back" and "good bye". I would find it interesting to see some fighters scan the plane and possibly give a "crash" screen or something. Maybe have some FBI squad raid the plane on touch down.

The flight simulator simulates almost every flight aspect except "bird strike". These are not so rare in real flight... It would be nice to meet these birds while flying!   Roll Eyes

There are animal interactions in MSTS and that's from 2001. There must be a way to do it in FSX.

All great ideas. I hate not being able to declare emergencies.

Cool

One of the missions has two elephants crossing the grass strip. You have to wait until they pass to take off.
So, yes, it is possible. Animals could also make for a nice emergency when trying to land.  Wink

And not planned mechanical failures, It's just, oh lets fail engine 1 today, as you are ready for it, it's not real Tongue

I know lot's of thirdparty software have this, but I would also want emerg for FS9/FSX ATC

Cool
